#Recipe: Budin (Cassava Cake)

Cassava cake is one of the most popular delicacies/kakanin here in the Philippines. In Lucena, a city in Quezon Province, we call it as BUDIN

1 1/2 cups cassava, grated

2/3 cup condensed milk

2 eggs,  beaten

1/4 cup sugar

2 tbsp butter,  melted

cheddar cheese,  grated (optional for toppings)

*Follow the above ratio when adding more servings.

1. Prepare your steamer (pre-heat/start boiling the water).

2. In a large bowl,  combine all ingredients. Mix evenly.

3. Pour the batter in a buttered baking pan and steam/cook for about 40mins to 1hr.

4. When it’s already cooked, remove from steamer and let it cool for some time. Then, spread grated cheddar cheese on top.
Now,  try it and impress your family!
