3 Steps to Move On

And the wind whispered to me saying, “You don’t need that kind of love.”

Closure happens right after you accept that letting go and moving on is more important than projecting a fantasy of “how the relationship could have been”. Never ask why someone keeps hurting you. Do you know what you should ask? “WHY YOU KEEP LETTING THEM.” How can we let the wound heal if we keep on touching it? Same thing with relationships, if it didn’t work and you really have to part ways after all the efforts, let it be…LET IT GO.

There are 3 steps to move on that I will share with you. And these are right there in your keyboard…

CTRL Control

⇒ Control yourself.

ALT – Alternate

⇒ Look for an alternate solution.

DEL Delete

⇒ Delete the situation that hurts you.

It may be the hardest thing you could ever do but it will be worth it. It could be very painful but you just have to be strong to let go. And in the end, you’ll be very proud of what you did. You did something for yourself. You simply gave yourself some respect. We may have loved the wrong person, cry for the wrong person, but one thing is for sure, mistakes will help us find the right person someday. Bear in mind that it is better to end something and start another than to imprison yourself in hoping  for the impossible.

Start a new hobby. Read a book. Focus on your work. Enjoy your time with your family, with your kids (if you have). Join different activities. Pamper yourself in a spa, massage or salon. Make yourself feel better. Keep yourself busy.

And of course, PRAY. Pray and ask for guidance that you’ll be able to handle what you’re going through very well. Have you watched the McDonald’s commercial last month?

It is not easy to detach from someone you’ve had close ties with, but sometimes, it’s necessary to restore your sanity. YOUR MIND PEACE.

“I’m learning to love the sound of my feet walking away from things  not meant for me.”
