Facts that Nobody Told You

Today, I remind myself that when I remain calm , I can easily manage my thoughts , attitude and emotions. Things become clear and logical, and handling difficult or tense situation becomes less stressful.

The past 2 months have been very difficult for me. Those are my 60 days of nightmares. I almost took my life for being so depressed, afraid, and hopeless. I’ve battled with suicidal thoughts each day.

NOBODY TOLD ME that having friends are GEMS in life. Before, I thought I am okay without any friends. That I can live without them. That I can handle everything without having any close friends. But I was wrong. They are the ones who stick and stand by me during my darkest days. They never left me while I’m in that battle. Thinking about what they did for me, and just being there for me, makes the tears fall from my eyes. I WAS WRONG. It is truly NO MAN IS AN ISLAND. I love them. They are the best people in world. Without them, I’m probably gone…and my little kids will be left alone.

After all these realizations, I always include them in my prayers. I am so blessed and thankful to have them, because aside from my family who are always there for me no matter what, these friends…these closest friends that I have, they’ve shared their time just to be with me, to comfort me, to literally protect me and prayed for my safety.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Dear Friend,
I would like to pause for a minute to say THANK YOU. You listen when I have a problem. You catch me when I’m about to fall. You bring so much joy into my life. Thanks for being my friend through it all.
Love, Shari

There are a lot of things we should be thankful for and here’s my TOP 3:

  1. My life
  2. My family
  3. My friends

I’m so blessed! God is Good!

What about you?

DID YOU KNOW: That Sudden Jerk when you are Asleep

Have you experienced being really, really tired and then you suddenly fell asleep and in a snap your body jerks which makes you awake because you felt like falling from a building or a cliff, only to realize you are safe in bed (or wherever you fell asleep) and then you go back sleeping?

DID YOU KNOW-hypnic jerk.png

I usually experience this whenever I drop down to sleep after having a very, very tiring day from work, travel or even after having Zumba. Are you wondering why this occurs?

Hypnic jerk actually happens when your body relaxes too quickly whilst falling asleep, and then your body jerks itself because your brain thinks you are in danger (like falling or something). Sometimes, this happens when you fell asleep unintentionally.

These are just common and harmless but then it has been associated with quality vs. quantity of sleep. So, my advice is to aim in getting enough sleep and have a good resting environment.

Goodnight everyone!
